2022 年游戏大奖于今晚在洛杉矶举行。在整个漫长的节目过程中颁发了许多奖项，最终宣布了令人垂涎的年度最佳游戏奖。
获胜者是 From Softwares Elden Ring，它击败了其他 GOTY 提名者，如瘟疫传说：安魂曲、战神诸神黄昏、地平线禁急西部、流浪者和异度神剑 3。
游戏总监宫崎英高上台领奖。宫崎骏通过翻译感谢 From Software 的开发者和发行商，以及为 Elden Ring 编写背景故事和传说的作者 George R.R. Martin。宫崎骏还感谢粉丝们的支持，并开玩笑说 From Software 有更多关于《Elden Ring》和未来其他想法的商店。
